MSA Assessment
Meat Standards Australia (MSA) has defined grading and eating quality standards for Australian beef cuts. MSA grading requires results to be aggregated per carcase with data taken from the grower, processor, kill floor and from chiller assessment.
Virtually all steps in processing have some impact on the eating quality, therefore the MSA-grader needs to capture multiple measurements and scores per carcase on the processing floor.

The system features: | |
---|---|
MSA-accredited software on a hand-held device (multiple brands supported) | |
Grading with user-definable CA fields for non-MSA carcases | |
Generation of real-time results per carcase | |
Windows CE and Android compatibility |
In FoodChain all MSA data captured on the kill floor and during chiller assessment is fully integrated with MYMSA for automatic retrieval of the index score for each carcase.
